DURING TAX SEASON
What is the deadline to bring in my tax information for the March 15 (business) & April 15 (individual) deadlines?
Do I have to complete the Tax Organizer/packet sent to me yearly?
Yes. In order for Curl CPA to have the information necessary to complete your return, we need each client to complete the questionnaire, sign/return the Engagement Letter, and review all information included in the Organizer packet and make corrections.
Do I have to bring all of my receipts for donations I’ve made?
No. As long as you have the supporting documentation, you can give us a total amount.
Can I bring some of my tax information in now and bring the rest later?
To reduce errors and omissions, we ask that you bring all of your tax information at one time.
What if I am missing a document and it won’t be here by your March 1st deadline?
Turn in everything else and include an itemized list of what is missing. This scenario will more than likely result in an extension being filed.
Do I need an appointment to bring my tax information to your office?
No. Bring your information anytime the office is open or use the drop slot in our door to drop off your packet/information. You can also use the secure portal to upload your documents.
Do I need to schedule an appointment with my accountant before I drop off my information?
No. Once the accountant begins to process your return by using the information provided in your Tax Organizer and documents, they will contact you if they have questions.
What if I need an appointment with my accountant?
Please call the office at 919-383-7462 or email your accountant directly. However, appointments are very limited during peak tax season. Please inquire about your appointment time before February 1st or after April 15th.
